T-Shirts Re-wear value are for the most part very bad so investing to much in a tee is something I try to guard against, but I make an exception fot this one. This one is a strong drink but its also fun to have with friends. It sounds silly but try it, I promised everyone will be laughing and having a good time with one of these in thier hands. The ingredients are Vodka, Lemon Lime Soda, and Blue Popsicles. You can up it or down it based on your soda to vodka ratio I find that 1/2 soda and 1/2 vodka makes the best mix. You can serve this drink one of two ways: Crush each popsicle in the glass and add the soda and vodka or mix the soda and vodka and pass out the popsicles to use as a stir. either way it's one popsicle per serving.

There are a lot of people who complain that they are bored and there is nothing to do in Atlanta and that is completely insane. Plug your self into whats going on and you will never be bored. The activity in this city ranges from High culture to low brow and everything inbetween. This is one of the few cities that can satisy a country boy and an urban hipster. For the idiot inside of all of us there are Ultimate fighting matches everyweekend and Friday Night Drag races at the Atlanta Motor Speedway. For all the nerds there is the Atlanta Museum of Art and countless art galleries around the city they specializes in almost every medium you can think of. The theatre scene may now be as polished as Broadway, but there are lost of new talent and emerging stars working here to get a start in the business. Jasmine Guy is making her directoral debut this week and will be touring the city with her new play. The music scene is rich with great tours coming throught the city and fresh local talent if your sick of the same ole artists. The crop of bands that hail from Georgia has grown since the explosing of southern music a few years back. Open Mic nights in Atlanta showcase whats next in the music biz. The hip hop scene is very under-rated as well. Most people know about the mainstream rap artists and street music that comes from Atlanta, but there is a growing scene of traditional hip hop artist and venues. The food in Atlanta is the best you will find in the south. There are five star restaurants with gourmet foods and plenty of formally trained chefs and just as many self taught cooks that make comfort favorites. Look out at the city from the Sundial or get a pitcher of beer at the Highlander, however you like it, this city will serve it up.

The next time you feel like you are bored or you have seen everything your city has to offer, take another look around and get off the mainstream and most popular spots. Take a look around at the places that may not have all the advertising dollars but still offer quality services and you will find a new places to be everytime.

Most people don't take the time to enjoy the things that are readily available and easy to acess in their city, state, or region. There are some really great places to visit that are off the beaten path. these are great spots not only to have fun, but it won't break the bank.

South East, USA

-Tampa, FL- When People think about Florida, Tampa is probrably one of the last places people think about, but the City is the 4th largest in the state. It has great beaches and affordable hotels. The shopping and nightlife have recieved good reviews from a lot of travel guides

-Melbourne, FL- The beach is beautiful and there are over 40 restaurants, nightclubs, and a casino.

-Tybee Island, Ga- Beach Bum weekend is silly fun for all ages that brings out alot of people to the beach. Sea Kayaking is also one of the top activities.

-Savannah, Ga- Historic slice of Georgia that seems to changed very little over the years. The picture of southern comfort. Enjoy great food and rustic scenery.

-Orange Beach, Al- Nice beach with an amusement park, wildlife cruises around the gulf to see dolphins, and great fishing.

Here is a recipe for a drink that tastes like a million bucks but will only cost you $20. You can High brow or low brow this drink as much as you like, it comes out great no matter how much you spent to make it.

Blue Train Cocktail

Mix crushed it with 1/4 brandy per serving and 1/4 pineapple juice per serving. Fill glass 1/2 full with this mixture and fill with well-chilled champagne or sparkling wine.

Ingredients-

Brandy or island rum
Champagne

The Inspiration

The first post for the TL blog should is my whole inspiration to for it. This is South Beach. This is how you transcend on South Beach. This was a three-day weekend that changed my whole perspective on things. You go through life working, paying bills, and going to sleep. You can tend to forget that there is more out there. This trip just re-energized me for life. I still think about that beach when I get lazy or tired just to remind me what I'm working for.
