There are a lot of people who complain that they are bored and there is nothing to do in Atlanta and that is completely insane. Plug your self into whats going on and you will never be bored. The activity in this city ranges from High culture to low brow and everything inbetween. This is one of the few cities that can satisy a country boy and an urban hipster. For all the nerds there is the Atlanta Museum of Art and countless art galleries around the city they specializes in almost every medium you can think of. The theatre scene may now be as polished as Broadway, but there are lost of new talent and emerging stars working here to get a start in the business. Jasmine Guy is making her directoral debut this week and will be touring the city with her new play. The music scene is rich with great tours coming throught the city and fresh local talent if your sick of the same ole artists. The crop of bands that hail from Georgia has grown since the explosing of southern music a few years back. Open Mic nights in Atlanta showcase whats next in the music biz. The hip hop scene is very under-rated as well. Most people know about the mainstream rap artists and street music that comes from Atlanta, but there is a growing scene of traditional hip hop artist and venues. The food in Atlanta is the best you will find in the south. There are five star restaurants with gourmet foods and plenty of formally trained chefs and just as many self taught cooks that make comfort favorites. Look out at the city from the Sundial or get a pitcher of beer at the Highlander, however you like it, this city will serve it up.
